Family of Elderly Man Claims Home Health Aides Killed Him

The family of a 99-year-old man who died this past summer has accused his home health aides of abuse, which they believe led to his death.

According to the New York Daily News, prior to his death, the 99-year-old native of Staten Island was still living in his home. His family hired round-the-clock care in the form of aides provided by the Nurse Service of New York and Partners in Care.

The family was able to capture surveillance video of the neglect and abuse inflicted upon the 99-year-old, including aides neglecting him after a fall that resulted in fractures and head injuries. The man was eventually found and taken to the hospital following the fall, where he deteriorated before dying in a nursing home weeks later.
